A Manchester club has an amateur vets team with nine ex- Premier League footballers in their current lineup.

Two Hundred Twenty-Two Top Division Scores, Three Hundred Twenty-Five Global Appearances

The team Veterans Over 35s are based in south Manchester and compete in the Cheshire Vets League Premier Division.

The lineup this campaign features nine former Premier League footballers, with a combined 1,801 Premier League matches.

This high-profile squad also includes over 220 Premier League goals and over 320 international appearances.

They feature one forward, who netted 37 scores in over 100 games for his former club after signing for them for £9m from Bundesliga club Freiburg in January 2012.

Cisse had his debut for Wythenshawe in their last home-field game versus defending title holders their rivals and scored all six scores in a 6-2 victory - including a 32-minute opening period hat-trick.

Together, the ex- top-flight footballers have claimed 15 big trophies and transferred for combined transfer sums of around £123m.

Well-Known Names and Global Players

Ireland started turning out for the team in pre-season this season through close friend and present Wythenshawe teammate Blake Norton, and the ex- Irish midfielder then invited other ex-pros, who all compete in a midweek small-sided match, to participate.

Former Senegalese striker Niasse, who scored twelve goals in sixty-five Premier League matches for the Toffees and even now attends their home games, also made his first appearance against Collegiate OB - who are located in the city and use an Everton warm-up gear as their strip.

"A friend Stephen told me 'join and have a game, it's good fun'," said the striker.

"After that he told me we were playing a team from Liverpool and the shock I had when I saw them wearing Blue shirts - I say this is strange for me!

"If you still love the game and you know you can still play, wherever you can play, what are you going to do?

"The people who turn up and see are pleased and to give someone's moment if they watch us competing there and to pose us questions - it's really about the joy of us getting a place we can play, with organisation of course."

So great is the squad depth at Wythenshawe, he had his debut at defender.

"That's a little unusual but then, I love running and just go forward - I'm not defending that much," he added.

"I warn my defender 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep running.

"That movement is what I'm after. It's good fun."

Dreamlike' Experience

In addition to the forward's six goals on his first game, Stephen Ireland has netted 8 in 3 games for the side, while Boyd scored five on his first appearance and Lescott, a centre-half by trade, notched a triple in one game as a striker.

The team are top of the Top Tier with three wins from three and a GD of +19.

One opponent, 38, who features on the flank for the opposition, came up against former Latics defender Maynor Figueroa on the weekend - and had to tell his nine-year-old son who Emile Heskey was.

Figueroa has appeared at 2 global tournaments for Honduras, in as well as playing in more than 200 top-flight games.

"It was going round like wildfire they had all these former top-flight players," said the player.

"I felt I was a bit starstruck facing him to be honest.

"Even Emile [Heskey] got on and he's has over 60 England appearances.

"Our side competed well for a solid twenty minutes but then we had a man sent off and it was tough.

"We literally have not stopped chatting about it - I was calling my mother and sibling on the way home.

"They were all really nice, shaking our hands after the game - it was like playing a bunch of regular fellas.

"Now we can't wait for the second fixture."

We Will Still Take the League'

The manager coaches the opposition veterans side, who secured the Top Tier championship the previous campaign, along with Paul Maguire.

"Our team went 1-0 ahead and had a
