The City of Angels experienced widespread festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide joined local residents in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Crowds
Local events featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy high.
