Performer Denies Anti-Vax Stance Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Pandemic Feature

Liam Neeson has lent his voice to a new documentary that casts doubt on the efficacy of immunizations and lauds ex- cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Contentious Origins

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a popular book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the health crisis for allegations that the illness was caused by a problematic version of the influenza shot.

The publication's co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with controversial media personality a known commentator. Heckenlively took to social media praising Neeson's role in the film.

An Unequivocal Denial

The team of Neeson have released a statement strongly denying implications that he subscribes to anti-vaccine views.

"We all acknowledge that misconduct might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be equated to opposition to vaccines," the response reads. "He never has been, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His considerable work with the global charity highlights his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The statement continued that the star did not shape the documentary's editorial content and that concerns about its assertions ought to go to the filmmakers.

Central Themes Featured in the Film

According to the documentary, the voiceover provided by Neeson makes several strong claims:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have called for "unconditional submission" to government bodies.
  • It argues that "medical science has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is shown claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
  • The film also criticizes Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Regarding the immunizations, it references a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Past Background and Recent Issues

The film further cites a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the topic of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.

Recently, the political figure directed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its longstanding position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, even with a fresh analysis from the global health body stating no such link has been found.

A Past Position of Support

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has previously expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his capacity as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary achievement," stating that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

The film finishes with Neeson's script saying, "This marks not the conclusion of our journey. It is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
